AAKAAR when told the story of about the compassionate gesture of an Indian Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja of Nawanagar and his children of Balachadi in A Little Poland in India, there was another historical story of the one of the largest Polish camps that had subsequently been established in India.

In 1943, the Polish Government in Exile in London and the British Viceroy in India came to an agreement to build an organized camp in Valivade, a small town near Kolhapur in the state of Maharashtra, for accepting about 5000 Polish refugees consisting of Polish families with only women and children who had travelled long and arduous journeys to find a safe haven in India.

Jindobrey India explores the journey through eyes of few of these survivors, now aged and living in London, Poland and Kolhapur and discovers a unique love story that dissolved borders.
